Visual Notetaking & Graphic Facilitation

VISUAL NOTETAKING
When I take visual notes, I synthesize the presentation or discussion in real time, visualize key elements with drawings and words, and create a large visual that captures the essence of the talk or meeting. I typically work on 40x60 art boards that are placed on easels beside the presenter to help the audience stay engaged.

People retain only a small amount of what they hear, but will remember 80% of what they see - a picture is truly worth a thousand words! Visual notes improve impact, content retention, and follow-through.
People love to see their ideas visualized in front of their eyes and will often snap pictures of the finished boards to share with colleagues and on social media:

GRAPHIC FACILITATION
Graphic facilitation blends visual notetaking with skilled group facilitation to help teams find consensus and build momentum toward shared goals. With a masters degree in Organizational Leadership and over a decade working with community-based organizations, I have the skills and experience to help your group address root issues, solve conflicts, and move forward with clarity.

I can work with you to create an agenda that keeps participants engaged and builds team cohesion while achieving real progress toward group goals and outcomes.

TEACHING THE ART OF VISUAL NOTES
I love teaching visual notetaking. I break things down into easy steps and share my top tips for making powerful, captivating notes. I can focus on helping employees become more effective by incorporating visuals and organization to their own personal note-taking system. I can also teach large-format graphic recording for those who want to make their meetings more engaging and increase participant follow-through.
