"Cook Inlet Belugas" shows a mother and baby beluga singing together in the clearer waters of lower Cook Inlet. Highly gregarious animals, they are known as "sea canaries" for their squeaking and chirping. The Cook Inlet beluga whale is one of NOAA Fisheries' Species in the Spotlight, an agency-wide effort to spotlight and save the most highly at-risk marine species.
