"Nursery Grounds" shows smolt (baby salmon) rearing in streams so small, they sometimes don't even look like streams! A parent and child explore the bog, much like I did when I was young. Living on a salmon landscape means we are responsible for keeping the habitat healthy so Cook Inlet salmon keep coming home!
This painting is part of the "Home is Where the Habitat Is" series, a collaboration with the Kenai Peninsula Fish Habitat Partnership and Cook Inletkeeper.
